Rob is standing below the stage 1 engines of Apollo 11. It was wonderful watching the footage of the Apollo landing and seeing footage I had not seen before. I remember as a girl making a scrap book of all the news paper cuttings of the landing.
Maybe my desire to travel was initiated back then, not that I have any desire to go to space.

ReplyDeleteHeady stuff to see at first hand - made same wonderous gaze at the Smithsonian in Washington. Remember staying up all night listening live on the radio to Neil Armstong stepping onto the moon!! No TV in South Africa those days.
